Change Your Mind
Day
|

|
Saturday, June 5, 2004, 10 am
to 4 pm
Crescent Lake Park
St
Petersburg
You don't have to be Buddhist to share in this afternoon of
meditation, movement, poetry, chanting, music and fun.
Change Your Mind Day reflects the Buddhist concept that our
suffering will lessen as we transform our thinking from
confusion to wisdom.
CYMD began in New York's Central Park in 1994 and is now
celebrated in over 40 cities nationwide. This year the Tampa
Bay area joins in the celebration with a variety of Buddhist
groups offering teachings and activities.
Please join us at Crescent Lake Park in St. Petersburg,
near 22nd Avenue North and 5th Street (1.5 miles east of
I-275 exit 24 on 22nd Ave). A cushion and blanket or chair
may be helpful. There will be a children's activity area,
and complimentary food and Buddhist literature will be
available.
Rain / alternative location: Chua Phat Phap Vietnamese
Temple and Vihara; 1770 62nd Av North, St Petersburg, FL
