We are a small Zen meditation group started in 2005. We sit for two twenty-five minute rounds of zazen, or silent meditation, with a seven-minute kinhin, or walking meditation, in between. Our meetings include meditation, chanting, and reading. On the first Tuesday of each month, we have tea after the second round of zazen. The facilitator is a long-time student of Sensei Lawson Sachter and a board member of the Clear Water Zen Center www.clearwaterzen.org. Sensei Lawson is a Dharma heir of Roshi Philip Kapleau (author of the Three Pillars of Zen) and co-founder of Windhorse Zen Community www.windhorsezen.org. We meet Tuesday evenings from 6:30 -- 8:00 at the Manatee Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 322 15th St. W., Bradenton, FL. Everyone is welcome. We look forward to meeting you and answering any questions you may have.
