About a quarter mile upriver on the far shore is one of the area's many scenic ravines. A little effort is needed to get around the mud where the creek meets the river, but it's a beautiful hike up the streambed.

A view up the ravine from about the same spot as the down-the-ravine photo. There's a small cave up and to the left, and I've found arrowheads under the waterfall ledge.
